South St. Paul - A Proven Partner in Transforming Vision to Reality
South St. Paul is proud that the businesses represented below have chosen our City for their long-term commitment and investment.
AVM Construction, an Eagan-based general contractor, received approval in June of 2020 to build a new 21,200 square foot multi-suite office/ warehouse building at 121 Hardman Court. 121 Hardman Court was originally part of a plan to develop a small professional park within Bridgepoint; however, the market has proved to be stronger for light industrial businesses looking for manufacturing and warehousing spaces. This property was one of the last "shovel-ready" sites in the Bridgepoint Business Park.
The new facility has 4 separate suites and offers a screened area for exterior storage for AVM Construction and other tenants of the building. The building received a certificate of occupancy in early 2021.
Twin City Hide/Twin City Tanning
Twin City Hide/Twin City Tanning is in the process of undergoing a $5 million, complete site remodel. The site remodel will allow the businesses to upgrade their facilities with modern processing and odor mitigation technology. Two phases of the five-phase remodel were completed between 2017 and 2020. In 2020, Twin City Hide/Twin City Tanning received approvals for the next phase of their site remodel. The phase will include a new 45,812 square foot processing facility with additional odor mitigation technology.
Vandalia Glassworks renovated the former Hitching Post building at 103 Concord Exchange North in order to relocate their glass art studio and gallery from St. Paul's Midway area. The business has made significant cosmetic and functional upgrades to the building's exterior. The move allowed the business to expand its services and foster community growth. The art gallery is used by artists to showcase their creations for sale in the renovated retail space on-site. The gallery includes views of the studio space to allow patrons to view the artwork being produced and interact with artists to learn about the techniques used to create the pieces. The glass studio also provides a hands on learning environment for classes ranging from one-on-one instruction to groups of 10-20 people. In addition to the studio and gallery space, approximately 1,700 square feet within the building are available for a future retail or office tenant.
